On Yoga

1. Do not practise (Yoga) when the body feels very lazy or ill, or when the mind is very miserable and sorrowful.

On Evil

1. Don’t be ruffled if now and then you get a brush from the world; it will be over in no time, and everything will be all right.

2. The remedy for weakness is not brooding over weakness, but thinking of strength. Teach men of the strength that is already within them.

3. Resist not evil. Face it! You are higher than evil.

On Blaming

1. Blame none, blame your own Karma.

2. Do not lay the blame upon anybody.

3. This is the first lesson to learn: be determined not to curse anything outside, not to lay blame upon anyone outside, but be a man, stand up, lay the blame on yourself. You will find that is always true. Get hold of yourself.

On Fear

1. Even if you are at your last breath, be not afraid.

2. Be not afraid of anything. You will do marvelous work.

3. Be bold and fear not.

4. Be a hero. Always say, “I have no fear”.

5. Be bold! My children should be brave, above all. Not the least compromise on any account. Preach the highest truths broadcast. Do not fear of loosing your respect or of causing unhappy friction. Rest assured that if you serve truth in spite of temptations to forsake it, you will attain a heavenly strength, in the face of which men will quail to speak before you things which you do not believe to be true. People would be convinced of what you would say to them, if you can strictly serve truth for fourteen years continuously, without swerving from it.

6. Never fear what will happen of you, depend on no one.

7. ……………No sincere worker passes out the field of activity without making himself known and catching at least a few rays of light…………..None will be able to resist truth and love and sincerity. Are you sincere? Unselfish even unto death? And loving? Then fear not, not even death………….Everything will come all right. Truth must triumph…………

8. Infinite power will come unto you------------------never fear. Be pure, have faith; be obedient.

9. The moment you fear, you are nobody. It is fear that is the great cause of misery in the world. It is fear that is the greatest of all superstitions. It is fear that is the cause of our woes, and it is fearlessness that brings heaven even in a moment. Therefore ‘Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached’.

10. IT IS FEAR ALONE THAT IS DEATH. You have to go beyond all fear. So from this day, be fearless. Off at once, to lay down your life for your own liberation and for the good of others. What good is it carrying along a load of bones and flesh!

11. If you are really my children, you will fear nothing, stop at nothing. You will be like lions.

12. Do not for a moment quail. Everything will come all right. It is will that moves the world.

13. Be bold and fearless and the road will be clear.

14. In unhappiness, sorrow, death, and desolation, the Mother’s child shall always remain fearless.

15. Never fear what will happen of you, depend on no one.

16. “The earth is enjoyed by heroes”—this is the unfailing truth. Be a hero. Always say, “I have no fear.”

17. Be a hero. Always say, “I have no fear.” Tell this to everyone—“Have no fear.”

18. Be not afraid, for all great power throughout the history of humanity has been with the people. From out of their ranks have come all the greatest geniuses of the world, and history can only repeat itself. Be not afraid of anything. You will do marvelous work.

19. Infinite power will come unto you----------------never fear. Be pure, have faith; be obedient.

On Giving

1. Give to the weak, for there all the gift is needed.

2. Yet have the power to give: give, and there it ends. Learn that the whole life is giving, that nature will force you to give. So, give willingly.

3. Ask nothing; want nothing in return. Give what you have to give; it will come back to you----------------but do not think of that now. It will come back multiplied----------------a thousand fold. But the attention must not be on that. You have the power to give and there it ends.

4. In the world take always the position of the giver. Give everything and look for no return. Give love, give help, give service, give any little thing you can, but keep out barter. Make no conditions and none will be imposed. Let us give out of our own bounty, just as God gives to us.

On Tolerance

1. Tolerance only--------------we preach and perform.

2. Eschew all intolerance.

On Religion

1. Realise religion, no talking will do.

2. Try to be pure and unselfish------------------that is the whole of religion.

3. Do not bother your head with religious theories.

4. Do not talk religion.

5. Enter not the door of any organised religion.

On Criticism

1. You must not criticise others; you must criticise yourself.

2. Be positive; do not criticise others. Give your message, teach what you have to teach, and there stop.

On Work

1. Work incessantly!

2. Take heart and work.

3. Work hard, be steady, and have faith in the Lord.

4. Work on with the intrepidity of a lion but at the same time with the tenderness of a flower.

5. Work through freedom! Work through love!

6. Up boys, and put yourselves to the task!

7. Work on as if on each of you depended the whole work.

8. Be content to work---------------and, above all, be true to yourself.

Work on, the best way you can.
